In 1970, fresh out of college, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey, driven by a desire to build something of my own. My first venture was humble, starting with manufacturing wood pallets in a small warehouse.
My passion for entrepreneurship didn’t stop there. I ventured into new opportunities, including manufacturing wood boxes for the U.S. government.
Over time, my enthusiasm for creating and growing businesses led me to start a total of 13 other ventures, some related to the wood industry, others in entirely different fields. My past businesses included retailing, manufacturing corrugated boxes, warehousing, shipping and wholesale sales. The thrill of building businesses, seeing them thrive, and occasionally passing them on to new owners has been a driving force throughout my career. After selling my last business and stepping into retirement, I soon found myself seeking a new challenge. That’s when I discovered the world of collecting art. To display the pieces I acquired, I began using display pedestals, sparking the idea for my next venture—Elite Pedestals
